Born in Lodz Katarzyna Winczek graduated from the Pedagogical University in Czestochowa, Faculty of Art Education in 1987 (graphic art). She works as a professor in the Graphic Department at the Institute of Fine Arts at Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa. She was the Vice-Dean for Research at the Faculty of Arts 2012-2016. She specialises in graphic arts and drawings and is the Head of Intaglio Printmaking Studio and Non-toxic Intaglio Printmaking Studio.
