He studied at the Faculty of Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. In 1981 he received his diploma from the Copperplate Engraving Studio under the supervision of prof. M. Wejman. In 1983 he started his teaching career at the Intaglio Studio of Faculty of Graphic Art at The Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. From 2002 to 2008 he served there as Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Grapchic Art. Since 2008 he has been Head of the Department of Printmaking at the same faculty. He works in graphic art and painting. He has taken part in over 300 exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
