From 1972 to 1978 he studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. His graduation work in poster design was realised under the supervision of Professor Adam Makarewicz, while in intaglio printmaking in the studio of Professor Mieczysław Wejman. At present he is a Professor at the Faculty of Art at the Pedagogical University of Krakow, where he runs lithography studio. His practice involves artistic and commercial graphic design, drawing, and teaching.
He is an author of over a dozen individual exhibitions; he took part in over a hundred group shows in Poland and abroad (e.g. in Krakow, Warsaw, Łódź, Katowice, Wrocław, Toruń, Kalisz, Przemyśl, Lublin, Frechen, Nuremberg, Darmstadt, Ronneby, Metz, Maastricht, Seul, Brussels, Ljubljana, Fredriksdad, Dublin, Paris, and Florida). He received several art awards, including at the International Print Triennial – Frechen 1994, and Triennial in Krakow in 2003. His works form part of collections of state institutions, as well as private collections in Poland and internationally.
