Creation is one of the most abstract and difficult to capture process. How does creativity start? How does it look like? Does it have its defined begining and established ending? Who decides what become piece of art and what
stay an unfinished sketch or project? Is art always a genuine, self- revealing act or is it often a result of tricker? How does an enviroment efect the perception of the art work?
Typography Installation Notes tries to deconstract and describe creation process. It is a selection of hand written notes and sketches done during work on actual artwork. Sketches and notes usually stay hidden behind the artwork as they are only a part of preparation and research process. In this case they become the final artwork. By gaining their own expression they become universtal and autonomous part of the art world. Creation is endlessness, unconcious and self-reflecting. It’s a constant exchange between conscious and unconscious moments. It is all about the process itself, about improving, reflecting, changing. And at the end nothing is like it seemed to be at the beginning.
Original notes were written down in a basic school notebook (A5 size). Some of them were replicated and randomly placed on the foor or hung on the wall to emphasize on chaotic character of creation. Some were scaled up to enormous size (A0), printed and hung on the wall to encourage audience to challenge the meaning of reproduction and scale. All notes arepublished in a book that is a personal diary of creation process.
